對於 hands with cushion、hands with rack 和 standard，在 gluing 前 test fit。
Brush-on primer 也不錯，但可能需要 two thin coats。 Rushing primer cure time 會導致塗料在 handling 時 rub off。
應用 thin, even layers。 Thin coats 能 preserve metal castings 的 crisp detail。
6. 6. 添加 washes 和 highlights： Mix a dark wash (例如 black 或 brown ink diluted with water) 並應用於 recessed areas，如 robes 和 rack。讓它 flow into crevices，然後用 damp brush wipe away excess。對於 highlights，在 raised areas 如 cushion 和 mace 上 drybrush lighter shade。 Washes 應 runny enough to flow，但不可 watery 到 stain the whole surface。
7. 7. Seal 並 protect the finish： 一旦 all paint 乾燥，應用 matte 或 gloss varnish。Spray varnish 最簡單；使用 two thin coats。
